JASONS tells the story of mythological Jason by way of 20 real, famous Jasons trying to justify their existence in a pop culture, viral video obsessed world. From Bateman, to Robards Sr, to Schwartzman, explore one hero’s journey through his non-heroic namesakes, as they're forced to play parts in mythological Jason’s quest to recover the Golden Fleece. An actor playing Matt Damon as Jason Bourne as Jason’s Mother? Yes. An actor playing Jason Momoa from Game of Thrones as Chiron the centaur? Definitely. Jason Voorhees cutting people’s heads off? TOTALLY NECESSARY. Not every person is a hero in their own story, and not every Jason has what it takes to get what they want. It’s time for Jasons to stop being polite, and start getting real. And it might also be time for Jason Mraz to get his head lopped off.

By 2017, she is largely a distant memory until 19-year-old Alexis Jones stumbles across her story. Following in the footsteps of Sarah Koenig, Alexis launches her own podcast seeking to solve the mystery of Dorothy’s life and death, and finds herself pulled into the murky history of the trailblazing, enemy-making Kilgallen, alienating everyone close to her. Living by what she believes to be Dorothy’s code of conduct, she gets closer than may be wise to unraveling one of conspiracy theorists’ favorite subjects - but at what cost? Part real-life mystery and part fiction, KILGALLEN/JONES explores the timeless desire to investigate and glamorize death, and the real and imagined consequences which follow.
