Sherry Friedman is a playwright, journalist, award-winning educator, Fulbright scholar, and activist. She studied at NYU Tisch, Dramatists Guild with Tina Howe and AADA. Her plays have been developed/performed at theaters across the county including Garrison Institute, Primary Stages ESPA, Polaris North, New Perspectives Theatre Company and EstroGenius. She has written for numerous publications including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Newsday, TimeOut New York, YM, Cosmopolitan and regional newspapers. As an educator, Sherry founded the nationally recognized Mark Twain Wonder Writers Workshop for NYC students who love to write. She is a proud member of Dramatists Guild, the League of Professional Theatre Women, and Polaris North.
