I really liked how delicately this story is transitioned into the modern world. I especially loved that Samson's eyes are blindfolded, further stripping him of his dignity while also bringing clarity. It’s just a brief monologue, yet it sets off a series of events involving many characters.

I can see a whole series of these tales alluding to Biblical pride, folly, greed, cruelty etc told through a lens only Ken Love could conjure up. Intense!

Why, why, why, Delilah?! Just because she was impressed with his hair or was she working with those Philistine scoundrels? We may never know, but what we do know is that Ken Love has given us an interesting update of a biblical story and a monologue for any actor able to live up to the name, Samson.
