Mission Statement: The Varlets are Buffalo's professional feminist theatre company, focused on inspiring women, challenging minds, and delivering quality theatrical entertainment.

The Varlets seek to put women center stage, providing a variety of quality opportunities for both female and male theatrical artists to hone their craft in a supportive artistic environment, allowing them to challenge social norms and gender roles, and undertake roles and positions not traditionally played or held by women. A large emphasis in programming is on awareness and spotlight of major challenges and issues that face women, serving as a vehicle to educate as well as entertain and enlighten. In addition, the Varlets serve as a wonderful outlet for recent college theatre graduates who would like to work in a nurturing environment, particularly those who do not fit into the mold of another theatre company in the Buffalo area.
