Bristol Valley Theater is a professional summer theater located in the Finger Lakes region of New York State. The summer MainStage season consists of six plays and musicals presented between June and August. 2015 saw the launch of the "BVT New Works Initiative" which aims to support the development of new theatrical works and expose our audience to new writers. The inaugural year consisted of four staged readings and the World Premiere production of David L. Kimple's "Who Is Theo?". BVT has committed to producing at least one World Premiere in each upcoming season, and plans to expand the staged reading series to include a week-long writer's retreat. "The Cookie Fight" by Judith Leora received its World Premiere at BVT in 2016. In 2017 we will present our "Hear Me Roar" season, featuring six plays and musicals all written by female dramatists, including "Elijah" - a new play by Ms. Leora, and "Silent Sky" by Lauren Gunderson.
