A powerful, gorgeous, poetic play. It's incredible in it's simplicity. This play is a masterclass in saying a lot without saying very much at all. I could read this play hundreds of times and find new things in it with every read. Beautiful, and makes me want to read a lot more of Omorotionmwan.

Obsessed with this play. So gorgeous and so sweet. What a beautiful use of theatrical magic to gut-punch a person right in the feels. I'd love to see it performed. Anyone who doesn't think super-short plays are worthwhile needs to read/see this.

A beautiful little play about adolescence, and a girl grappling with her mother's warnings as she grows into her own sexuality.

A perfectly constructed play. I discovered this play when I was a reader for a short play contest, and highly recommended it. It didn't end up winning, but I think it deserved to. I sought it out years later when teaching a Playwriting class as an example of an excellent short play. Highly recommend as an excellent example of theatrical storytelling. Hope I'll get to see it produced someday.

An unforgettable spectacle that explores adolescence, specifically that critical transition from following your parent's advice and becoming your own person, as a sexual person. Evocative. Poetic. Must read. Exceptional playwriting in short form. Wow.

Such a lovely and honest insight into what it means to listen to one's Mother, explore our own ventures into the unknown and choosing between both voices.

WOW. This play is GORGEOUS. It's hypnotic, rhythmic, poetic, romantic -- I'm totally blown away by how much ground this play covers in such a short space. I love it.

Philana wrote this for the short play festival "madness" that I produced last year at OU and it is just so so sweet and theatrical and romantic and gorgeous. It was definitely one of the best pieces in the night and is a very unique and high class short play!!
