Hoping for inspiration and motivation, Chicago reformer Jane Addams travels to Russia to meet with her idol, Leo Tolstoy. What happens at that meeting changes her beliefs about relying on others for guidance. Later, a confrontation with anti-lynching advocate Ida B. Wells forces her to rethink her values. A play about personal and social change.
