This is such a sweet short play. A mother breaks the news to her autistic son that his dad is moving out, and Pamela Morgan manages to make you sympathize with each of them individually as well as collectively, as a family unit. So well done!

A play that touches on some tough subjects, and draws on the conflict that results. You really feel for both the son and the mother as they both process the recent events in their own way. The frustration and love comes across simultaneously. A real feat of playwriting.

Mothers everywhere will recognize the dilemma: how to hold together your child’s breaking heart when your own is shattered, too? I love these characters, and I felt for them both. A beautiful ten-minute piece: tart, sweet, powerful—just like lemonade.
