I can't recall the last time, if ever, that I've seen such an accurate, respectful, and insightful portrayal of such a young child onstage. The depiction of Antonio and his relationships with his parents and his toys is so meticulously crafted. The subject matter is haunting.

An authentic and heartbreaking look at toxic masculinity and machismo through the eyes of an otherwise sweet young man. More audiences need to see this play!

Macedo's voice is so strong and evocative and she sets the scene beautifully with her incisive and playful stage directions. This piece reads like poetry in the best way.
