Cooper's Box

Two childhood friends, Cooper and Ronan, have been reunited by the death of Cooper's father who was absent for the majority of his life. Late at night, they search for a mysterious box that contains evidence of how the deceased truly felt about his son. A quiet and beautifully paced account of two young Texan men trying to rekindle their childhood relationship after one has gone off to college and lost touch with his roots. The play is understated and totally free from melodrama, saying a great deal about the nature of friendship, religion, and parent-child relationships.
