This short parody of the beloved Dahl story raises many points about Charlie’s future happiness that really needed some clarification. While this has very fun, clever dialogue, it made me think a little deeper about how I bought into the “pure imagination” fantasy of a carefree existence for Charlie, now Chuck. Couldn’t we predict some unhappiness when the original owner of the factory was willing to give it away for free? A great “nothing is free” lesson for us all. Well done, Steven!

We totally believe it. This is a very real friendship that could've come from this, it's so funny but also completely believable. Great parody of a classic that fans will adore!

An adorable snippet parodying a classic, bringing nostalgia to those of us who grew up on the original movie. Well done!

An extremely cute ten minute play with a very clever idea. This play is clearly a crowd pleaser, even just reading it. Brings up some GREAT points about its source material and works fantastically as parody. Great roles for actors and a director would have a lot of fun with this--not to mention figuring out how to make a girl blue! Hilarious one-liners and funny banter with a surprisingly poignant monologue in the middle. Well done, Hayet!

"Ever after" is an awfully long time, and Hayet tweaks the fairy-tale concept of living happily ever after in "Everlasting Chocolate Therapy." Bo and Chuck live a bittersweet reality, forced into circumstances that began when they were 11 years old. But Hayet gives them hope, that even they can try to change their lives.

Climb on board this dark-comedy boat and sail down the sickly sweet chocolate lake throwback to childhood that is "Everlasting Chocolate Therapy". Hayet has written quite the gobstopper of a play that sheds a bit of light on those not-so-lucky Golden Ticket finders that gives you the hurt, the madness, and the laughter all in one bite-sized 10-minute piece.
