A life time of memories stuffed in one's brain From a moment in time that fate did allow Then it rears it's ugly head Only to take her away from him twice, somehow A modern day twist on a Shakespearean theme About two lovebirds tryst and their foolish love scheme
A tragic romantic comedy.
A love story that was not allowed until fate decrees that it is meant to be. Then in a cruel twist, it shows one of it's many fickle faces and does not give him his happily ever after, then also robs him of the precious memories that they made together now leaving him to end his time living alone, as just one life.
A modern day, haunting tale about the life of a memory. A love story, clearly remembered, told in the mind of a man, made from a fading memory with the woman of his dreams.
The infatuation begins when our two lovebirds meet. A friendship is created that blossoms in to more. Then the terrible truth comes out. And society forbids their bond.
They come up with a scheme to overcome the hurdles that are in the way so civilization cannot stop them from having a life together.
Against all odds it works out and you are invited to the wedding reception to hear how this impossible romance unfolds. When the groom tells tales of his life and from his mind of their not so typical fairy tale union.
Then after a honeymoon life and in the twilight of his now lonely life he reveals in his final vow, a never ending devotion to the love of his life.
In the end we are asked to look inside ourselves with one final question asked that reveals the answer.
Music demos are added. Also a set-up/prop/choreography pdf.
The stage set up is economical with dark curtains at back and one side. A wall with a door opening on the other side (optional). 2 tiered risers along the back, 4 sets of tables and chairs with banquet settings. Same stage thru out with minor prop changes all scenes.
Wardrobe includes green choir robes, printed tee shirts for cast, pajama pants for cast and standard street clothes and formal wear (suits, tuxes, dresses - ugly green bridesmaids dresses and wedding gown) for cast. Approximately 2 hours.
Props are standard tableware and everyday items. 35 (2ft x 2ft) printed signs and printed tee shirts (for cast) are the main expenses.
Pop machine and table facades are easily constructed using sheets of cardboard.
Has a decent cast size with varying talent needs. Economical to stage. Great family friendly show for high school performances and community theater.
