In this moment when it is so easy to be consumed by rage and heartbreak, it is so good to remember that there is light in this world. Even though we have lost important people it is good to remember that they are not lost from our memories. That their being gone does not make them unworthy of our joy, our laughter, or our love. The only weapons you will find in Henry's beautifully written monologue are love and remembrance; a stunner for any theatre looking for short pieces.

This is my favorite type of Protest Play, one concentrated on who was lost. That is where our focus should be. The families and lives are what - for some reason - get lost in arguments about rights and weapons and ideologies. There are no guns here, no hate, only loss, only love.
