    “ Courageous doesn't even seem like a big enough word to describe what this play is. This play is brilliance and fearlessness and it is hideous and it is hard to read and it is impossible to imagine, but it is so, so beautiful and so needed and will change lives. The story in and of itself is one that will break you down into a thousand pieces and make you wonder how, how, how could things like this exist, but Emma will win you over. She is more than brave, she is a beacon. Highly recommended. ”

    “ Goldman-Sherman speaks her truth honestly and creatively, in hopes of lifting up audience members with a similar experience, as well as elevating her own past, present and future. To call this "bold" and "unflinching" feels like just using buzzwords that have lost their meaning, although I do think it is bold and unflinching (although her characters do flinch, and we love them all the more for it) and on Goldman-Sherman's own terms. This is her story, told in a way only she can. She's trusting us with it. May we all prove to be worthy of receiving it. ”

    “ Brave and beautifully crafted. This story will shake you down to your toes. It is a very original look at sexual abuse. We see the protagonist at three stages in her life -- all of them interacting, often humorously. This provides a distancing effect which allows us to watch and listen without putting up protective defenses. The play is ultimately uplifting. I wish every person who has suffered abuse but not been able to confront it could see this play and be strengthened by it. ”
