INTERVENTIONS by Greg Lam is big fun. Even if you haven’t researched the Tippet Equation. Even if you’ve never heard of it. Lam has a knack for taking genre scenarios (sci-fi, horror) and making them seem fresh through his skillful and imaginative handling of characterization. It’s no accident this time-travel gem is frequently produced. I look forward to reading more from this playwright.

I love a play that can be interpreted so many different ways. Should these two be together or not? Why is this moment so important? So much fun and a great challenge for the actor playing the daughters!

Beautiful subtext, simple but effective theatricality, and just enough science to satiate make this tiny relationship story into a sweet and memorable sci-fi spectacle for stages of any size. It also contains wonderful choices and challenges for a director who is ready to engage with the intriguingly ambiguous ending. This is a relatable entry into the increasingly popular "alternate universes" genre - impressively dense for ten pages! If you're into genre theatre, you'll love this. If you aren't (yet), this little play might make you a fan!

Funny, brisk, and charming throughout, Lam takes a great concept and carries it through to fruition. Kudos for being able to tell this rather complex story in the 10-minute format, which keeps it from potentially bogging down in time-travel logic.

Greg Lam creates smart, witty and touching characters and puts them in a situation which completely takes us off-guard. This sci-fi romance hits the funny bone and the heart...and all in just ten minutes.

A hilarious play full of charm and whit. Love the possible life paths dependent on momentary decisions. Fun and thoughtful.

I second Donna Warfield's note, "Three great roles for one quick change actress." The premise is fun, and there's lots for actors to do.

A clever idea that works brilliantly. Three great roles for one quick change actress. Children traveling from the future to warn their parents of potential mistakes. Fast moving with good physical humor. I can see why this play has been done by so many theaters. For anyone who likes the sci-fi genre this is a must read.

I saw this play produced (really creatively) on Zoom as part of the 2020 Boston Theatre Marathon. It is a fun, creative sci-fi/rom-com mash up. Two young lovers take a hike, with one (a brilliant scientist who, sometime in the future, will unlock the key to time travel) planning to propose to the other. They're visited by three different manifestations of a future daughter, who takes advantage of mom's invention to come back in time and warn them about critical mistakes they'll make. It's funny, it's sweet, it's smart, and it deserves a place in a lot of festivals.
