Much like Melanie the audience finds themselves guessing and making assumptions about what the characters are doing and what they want. By the end we find our theories, notions and assumptions entirely shattered. Pipes does a beautiful job of illustrating what it means to be different and just how alienating that can be. As well as how easy it is to view some one you care about as other. I highly recommend this play it is definitely worth the read. ”

    “ This play was such a pleasant surprise. It challenged my own expectations about what love looks like. When you see two teenagers in the hookup spot you expect a certain thing. Then, when you see a boy walking in heels you expect another. This play acknowledges these expectations but then tells a story that is incredibly human and touching that moves away from any restraining stereotypes.

    “ We expect from the start that Melanie and Shaun are in the janitors closet to do something sneaky and private, but they are practicing walking in shoes. Love love love. This play also speaks volume on assigning the characters as young students in high school, a time when our younger generation needs to hear stories and situations like this the most. The world is vastly changing, and a lot of people today are not informed on topics umbrella covering the LGBTQIA. The story is written very beautiful, very enjoyable from start to finish. ”
