There's something to be said about the werewolf's transformation as transgression. The monster fully emerging from the person as a means of survival, and how that process in itself rips at the restraints of society and expectations and identity. Sure, I could say that. But I feel like taking such an analytical approach when talking about this play doesn't really match what I want to say about this, and what I want to say is HELL YEAH.

A primal howl of a play. Walker has brilliantly crafted a work of art that is equal parts hilarious, sexy and terrifying. Don't be a coward and PRODUCE THIS PLAY!!!

Whoa! This one breaks all the rules. The useless adults are so, so funny. The script itself, "an experiment in typography" in Walker's words, is queer AF. WOLFCRUSH is as stylish as it is sexy, as gleefully unhinged as it is deliberate, as large in scope and scale and eroticism and humor as it is intimate.

Epic! A piece of art on the page. I loved getting to know each character. The adult characters were just too much in the best way. And werewolves! Kissing as punctuation will stick with me for a long time.

EEEEEEK! I have had an unhealthy obsession with werewolves as long as I can remember, and I adore any story dealing with young adults. This play has both. In spades! Walker has created a fantastic supernatural romp!

This play is so much fun. I love these characters and this world. Walker writes teenagers so well. And werewolves too.

Dark and disturbing and lighthearted and funny and messy and pure and heartwarming and heartwrenching.

A fantastic horror that gets so funny, sexual and a wonderfully heightened exploration in the wild! Well done.

A wildly theatrical piece with an extremely human heart beating throughout. I love the pastiche of horror-satire-fantasy-coming-of-age-dramedy that this play lives within. The world is mindblowing, eclectic, cohesive, and fully-realized. Walker pointedly uses the thread of werewolf mythology to explore coming of age, identity discovery, shame, desire, and the push-pull of repressing or realizing those overwhelming forces in a limiting society. I flew through this in one sitting--it is hi-LARIOUS, sexy, horrifying, and poignant at key moments. I loved seeing Junyce/Kyle and Huck/Beecher as two different models for coping with these desires and internal conflicts. An amazing piece!

WOLFCRUSH is a queer-millennial-horror-fever-dream. This play is expertly crafted, while still feeling wild, messy, and dangerous. These characters are everyone you went to high school with, loved/hated, and fucked. Sharp, quick-witted dialogue and deeply entrenched themes make this sexy play hit hard in the end, after laughing and gasping your way through it. Both suspenseful & hilarious– I'd like to see this one on more stages ASAP.
