A freaky and moving play about gun violence, connection and mundane moments turned important. Bohannon brings us in with a funny and odd situation but as things got darker, my stomach dropped and the play really took hold.

I loved reading this play. IN THE END explores death through the abstract lens of Emmy, a character who creates an air of mystery and fascination. This play explores the heart-ache of loss in its many forms through beautifully crafted dialogue that borders on fantastical. One of my favorite pieces by Bohannon!

From the get-go, Bohannon reels us in with fascinating, nearly disorienting dialogue, enough to set up the mystery of the piece and hint to her mastery of it; the madness and elliptical nature of the work calls Albee to mind. A play not for the faint of heart, and about grief and loss and the tragedy of missing what was meant for us, it includes some of Bohannon's most devastating speeches and most lucrative language, this is without a doubt one of her best works.
