And all their arcs collide with each other at precisely the right moments, often when you didn't know you needed them to. The themes of ritual, conspiracy, meaning-making-through-art, friendship, love, loneliness-in-spite-of-being-surrounded, and even sexual desires are wittily intertwined in a setting which would shackle our characters to the Earth. And yet, they fight and fight to lift off. ”
