“
In a play about confined space and being stuck, it somehow accomplishes moments of extra terrestrial expansiveness and unexpected connections between people again and again, continually delighting. No character is wasted but rather grips you with a masterful arc all their own. And all their arcs collide with each other at precisely the right moments, often when you didn't know you needed them to. The themes of ritual, conspiracy, meaning-making-through-art, friendship, love, loneliness-in-spite-of-being-surrounded, and even sexual desires are wittily intertwined in a setting which would shackle our characters to the Earth. And yet, they fight and fight to lift off. ”
