It is a wonderous feat of word economy that Femia can breath such life into Imogenene in just over three pages.

Fantastic monologue, fabulous character, beautiful play. Femia is such a terrific writer. I'm so glad I read this.

A potent reminder that (if you believe in the existence of a Supreme Being) we are ALL God's creations and should be treated as such. Honest and frustrating in equal measures.

This play is one you should read, you feel the atmosphere and emotions from all the characters, whether you love them or hate them, and it has some comedy in it so you get a cup of laughs right along with it. Plus it is for 16 and up so don't think just because it has the church in it it will be pg 13. Give it a try.

Jesus God I loved every single fucking word of this monologue. Femia captures all the Catholic School Student feels like an acid flashback: all the rage, the feelings of inadequacy, the disbelief at the whole Goddamned hypocrisy of the religion, all of it spilling off the page with gorgeous venom. A truly stunning, and truthful, arrow to the heart. And wonderfully freeing.

So fantastic, hilarious, and hits where it needs to when it needs to. I love it.

I love this monologue! The world is extremely rich, I have such a strong vision of all the offstage characters, and the journey so rewarding in the end. Left me wishing I could see more of Imogenene taking over the world after she survives this difficult moment, because *spoiler alert* she will.

A wonderful monologue with a fiery character and a lot of heart. What starts off as a comedic rant quickly turns into a heartfelt plea to God that questions religion, sexuality, and the place of human love in it all. Funny, touching, and meaningful, a great monologue with a lot of character.

There are so few good monologues for young women, this refreshingly frank, no-holds bared, and wonderfully blasphemous rant heads straight for the top. Imogene is so unapologetic, it is impossible not the feel that she is the smartest one in the room. I want to spend more time with this character. Favorite line "Jesus was such an alcoholic his blood literally turned into wine."
