Fast forward, pause, and play are used to wonderful theatrical and storytelling ends by the daughter in the title as she tries to figure out what just happened when her mom and mom's new, white, younger boyfriend come to visit. If mom can avoid the lonely mah-jong and group vacation tour trap, maybe the daughter can remake herself, too, and be happy. Maybe?
