Baby Dyke Whisperer

Betty is on her first date with a woman and trying her best to figure out her sexuality. Fortunately for her, she's on a date with Erin, The Baby Dyke Whisperer. This play explores LGBT culture, figuring out one's sexuality, and the complicated relationship queer women have with the word 'dyke.'

Charmingly done. Both inexperienced Betty and her more worldly date Erin are depicted vividly as they test the waters between suspicion and tentative acceptance. This play couldn't be more different from Amber Palmer's "The Sweater Play," yet it suggests too how adroitly Palmer explores the Lesbian experience in a short form.
