Baxter (ten-minute)

Lena is not in the holiday spirit: her car is in the shop, she's working late on her birthday, and Christmas music is blaring through the toy store after New Year's. Right before she clocks out, Lena is visited by Baxter, a stuffed brown bear who's ready to go home and lift her spirits.

A young woman weighted down by sad memories and the stress of her financial struggles finds that just when you are "bearly" making it through, magic can happen. A lovely little holiday play!

Reading this play makes me feel like someone just gave me a huge, warm hug. I want to see this on stage every holiday season. (And every other time of year, too.)

A very sweet short play about burn out, stress, and how hard it can be to ask for help. Also, you just can’t go wrong with giant talking stuffed bears.
