Miranda is invited by a vagrant named Chris to play chicken with cars out in the streets of her city. Feeling crippled with inertia, she follows him, changing life for her; her boyfriend Joe; and their friend Reeve. Each of them plays chicken in a different way, with different aspects of their lives, and in the end, the odds fatally turn on one of them.
