Two Acts (~100 mins). Four vengeful, narcissistic actors, with the assistance of a brutish stage manager and a cynical stagehand, kidnap and hold hostage a theater critic notorious for shutting down productions and ending careers through his malicious reviews. To confound matters, they intend to carry their plan out during a performance of a show they’re all currently appearing in. Less than an hour before the curtain is due to rise, their scheme begins to quickly unravel as we discover that none of the conspirators are familiar with the actual plan or its designed outcome. The results are at once dark and hilarious. Brute Farce is a satirical commentary on the perpetually symbiotic, oftentimes dysfunctional, and occasionally turbulent relationship between actors and reviewers.

Nothing's better than a group of misfit characters that you both root for and also cringe at their every move! A very funny comedy that had me laughing out loud and holding my breath as each new plot point unraveled and exploded right in front of us. A play that screams to be staged.

I love near nothing more than to giggle, and as such I have no choice but to be a fan of a script that tickled me over and over. I knew the moment the cocaine appeared as make-up that this show would truly make me happy, and it surely didn't disappoint. If I were in the audience at a performance of this, I'd leave with aching cheeks from all the laughs and smiles. I hope to get to see this performed. Absolutely amazing!

A brilliantly wonderful chaotic journey made up of wonderfully constructed characters, a well paced and funny plot all framed in perfect farce! This is a play that as I read it all I could think is how much it needs to be on a stage!
