Sweet! I just watched Marcia Eppich-Harris's short play produced by the Indiana Ten Minute Play Festival. Sometimes we all just need a little nudge in the right direction. I laughed out loud at the teen's lack of a "thank you" at the end, but perhaps everything in life does even out because its the couple that are truly the grateful ones. Sometimes serendipity can come from the most unexpected places, ushered in by the most unexpected people. A short play about being open to possibilities in all their shapes and forms. Sweet!

When the girl and boy enter I found myself yourself holding my breath and hoping that the play doesn't take a turn I wasn't prepared for. The message at the end is one that is good for us all to hear and realize. I love that last few lines and being scavengers for love.

A great little play that twists things around and leaves you guessing. The characters come out the other side with a very satisfying conclusion. A fun play for any ten minute festival.

The most intriguing aspect of this play is the way in which Eppich-Harris takes an awkward situation, a first date, makes it even more awkward by introducing this overzealous teenage couple with initially unclear intentions, and then surprises us at the end with how the conflict has developed. This would so much fun to watch!

This genuinely sweet but not sappy romantic comedy took my interest by the hand and led it down a road with delightful surprises around each curve. I found myself rooting for every character in the play and smiling at it's presentation of the joy and vulnerability in our human need for love.

SCAVENGERS offers us a familiar set-up--a first date--but quickly transitions into the strange. I was drawn in by the delightful dialogue and instantly curious when the teen couple interrupts the piece, shifting it into new, fresh territory. The play then makes a nice second turn, leaving us satisfied and intrigued with the possibility of what's to come for Klara and Jeff.
