This was such a good play. Really funny with snappy dialogue. It also carries a great message and is family appropriate while appealing to all ages.

Hot damn, just a really, really, really funny play with a good message that continues to surprise even once the game is established. I love that the emotional core of the script has to do with human sacrifice. Definitely didn't see that coming. Such fun stuff!

“He is not Loki, he is Kevin!” Kevin mixes things up for these Vikings, but most will say it was for the better.

I've given this play a positive review in the emails I've sent to the playwright but I just have to let people know how genuinely good and funny this play is. The dialogue is that perfect balance between witty and simple where it gives off the feel of two children arguing and a tired but loving parent or guardian having to play the role of a mediator between the two. It's adorable and hilarious and as a lover of Norse culture, the references are very much appreciated. Seriously give this play a read if you haven't already.

Such fun! Three male actors will have a good time with this one. The norse references are perfect. Humorously touching. Bravo.

I love how Matthew McLachlan presents modern notions of "toxic masculinity" within a historical context of masculinity that was potentially the most "toxic" of all! The characters are very fun, the dialogue is relatable, and there's also an interesting glimpse into Viking culture! This was a very enjoyable read - well done!

Talk about worlds colliding! I love the premise and Matthew McLachlan carries it out masterfully. The dialogue is well crafted; I could almost hear the characters' voices. Read it.

Love it; a fun and funny play to perform (find the costumes, eh?) and oddly touching. This would be a highlight of any evening of shorts!

A stroke of wholesome genius! With its irresistibly charming characters, cleverly crafted dialogue, and a heart of pure gold, McLachlan's beefy short plunders the depths of manhood and presents us with the nougaty center that lies at its core.

This play is everything one wants from a ten-minute piece: a relevant and empathetic premise delivered through the lens of a truly hilarious and ingenious concept. McLachlan's dialogue here is so witty and spot-on, as are his observations on masculinity and male friendships. This would be a true delight to produce as actors would get a lot of mileage out of these outrageously funny characters!
