I'm happy to recommend this gem of a 3-hander period piece that 29th Street Playwrights Collective just produced as a rehearsed reading because it is a compelling story with a very brave and outspoken female protagonist fighting for agency in a world where women were not given much freedom. The play has some beautifully theatrical moments, humor, and tension between the characters. I also enjoy the tension Rice provides that adds to my anticipation for what will happen.
