After deciding life was too unbearable to continue, Angela decided to put a bullet through her head. She will tell you exactly what led to her suicide – at her funeral service with a little help from her twin brother Ethan and his wife, Betsy. As Ethan officiates at the service, we learn of the three requests she stated in her will. First, she wanted to be buried with her dog Ollie’s ashes. Next, her cardboard cut-out of The Tonight Show’s host Jimmy Fallon needed to be next to her in the casket. And the third wish – that Ethan must give her eulogy by reading her handwritten notes that she left behind. And as she is Jimmy Fallon’s number one “FalPal”, her notes are all written in the fashion of the Thank You Notes segment that Jimmy performs every Friday night.
From conception to the night she kills herself, Angela shares with us the hilarious and tragic events she’s experienced. Some of the notes are darkly humorous or silly. Some are touching and poignant. As Ethan reads these, with both his wife Betsy by his side and his twin sister out of her casket, Angela takes us on the journey of her life. She draws us into her world, even sometimes directing her notes at family and friends attending the service. But ultimately, the notes gradually become disturbing and shocking. And as the service takes a sick twist that Ethan and all in attendance did not expect, their lives are drastically changed forever. Running time: 60 minutes

I had to read this play just because of the title. What does it mean? You figure that out very quickly, but there is much more to this play than an odd title. At the funeral following the unexpected death of his twin sister Angela, Ethan must read a series of "thank you" notes that Angela wrote for the occasion. The notes are funny and quirky until they begin to be alarming, either revealing some unexpected family secrets...or maybe showing that Angela was completely delusional. A play with a lot of heart and many strange twists.
