CAM BABY was meticulously plotted, incredibly engaging, funny, anxiety-producing, current, and emotionally devastating. Jessica has tuned in to an incredibly dramatically rich story that hits at both current issues and long-standing concerns of human nature. A truly wonderful play.

Equal parts laugh and gasp out loud, this play is both funny and thought provoking with characters who are all too real. I loved reading this play and had a lot of fun imagining its staging. Produce it!

Cam Baby is one of those rare plays that successfully represents internet age love and betrayal. Brutally honest, hilarious, and full of painfully specific descriptions of "shameful" eating, this play is a satirical gem that feels all too real...

Saw a brilliant reading of CAM BABY at Great Plains Theatre Conference. This play had me laughing so hard I had to quiet myself to hear the next joke and then it brought me to full-blown sobs with it's tender and vulnerable exploration of loneliness and otherness. The experience was exhilarating, exactly why I go to the theatre. I can't recommend it enough to everyone I know.

As a dramaturg at the Great Plains Theatre Conference, we were thrilled to have CAM BABY in our 2017 PlayLabs. This piece grabs you for a fast-paced roller coaster ride through relationships and doesn't let you go. A brutally honest comedy about mean-spirited and stupid people, with a star-turn role for the actor playing Matabang. Explores questions of over-sharing online, privacy, and trust. Our audience sang this play's praises.

Jess has an amazing facility for building plays from the way people talk. Touching, riveting, can't-look-away play. You'll see it somewhere soon, I'm sure.

Premiere Stages, the professional Equity theater in residence at Kean University, is pleased to recognize "Cam Baby," by Jessica Moss, as a finalist in the 2017 Premiere Stages Play Festival. "Cam Baby" rose through a competitive selection process conducted by Premiere staff and an outside panel of theater professionals over the course of five months to be one of 4 finalists out of roughly 400 submissions to the Festival. The panel was particularly impressed by the play's humor, intelligence, and thought-provoking investigation of privacy, consent, and honesty in the digital age. Our congratulations and thanks to Jessica.
