A fantastic monologue honoring the great designer herself, a great statement from an empowered woman who has weaved a world of influence in her work. Well done!

I so appreciate playwrights who honor those who came before. Theatre is an ephemeral art, so anything we can do to uphold and celebrate those who love her, cherish her, and create for her, is an A in my book. And Theoni V. Aldredge, Costume Designer, Speaks is an A+ in that book. I loved learning about her life, her father, her passions, and her outlook in a male-dominated field. A must-read and must-produce. Thank you, Ms. Aldredge, and thank you, Jennifer O'Grady, for this wonderful monologue!
