Oh how our pets' lives changed with the pandemic. Humor was exactly what helped many of us make our way through that odd and fearful time. JENNIFER O'GRADY gives beautiful voice to the world we all expereinced.

I adore this monologue from a cat's perspective of the pandemic. It adds humor to these strange times. It was a pleasure to feature this monologue in some scripts Issue 4: Outbreak!

A great monologue about coping and reacting to change told from the POV of a wonderfully sassy and curious cat.

A great little reminder of the effects of the pandemic and that not just humans are feeling this. I particularly like the little turns this minute long monologue does, and how complete the whole thing is. The minute long play is alive and well!

Jennifer O'Grady absolutely trusts her audience's intelligence. With nary a word about the given circumstances, she conjures strong feelings of the world of the play and makes us wonder about our own world. And all through the guise of a monologue for a talking cat!

Funny, a little dark, and thought provoking -- especially the unanswerable final line that O'Grady has constructed as the topper. I can't want to watch the performance in the 17th annual Gi60 U.S. festival in October 2021.

CLOSET CAT is a welcome monologue to our time of Covid. Well, not just our time. It's our pet's time, too. O'Grady nails Shadow's view of 2020. And we better pay attention.

Such a fantastic monologue from the feline perspective that makes us step up our game as owners. Wonderful!

A purrfect reflection on quarantine from the feline perspective. Touching and humorous.

Shadow speaks the things we are all thinking, asks the questions we all are asking (or should be). I fiercely admire O'Grady's keen ability to look at things from the perspective of the most soulful and most vulnerable beings on the planet, the animals (and the occasional refrigerator), and deliver fully words on their behalf. Such advocacy is enviable and admirable, and she brings this humane, gentle, giving approach to every single word she sets on page and on the stage.

Delightful pet's-eye view of the pandemic providing a much needed distance that never sacrifices the gravity of the situation. A fun monologue for anyone with a good feline nonchalance.
