Old college friends reunite on a camping trip, but the weekend quickly goes awry when Jen comes out to her husband, James, and he goes missing in the woods.
Jen and her best friend, Michelle, hide his disappearance from the rest of the group: Eddie, Patrick, and Emily, Patrick’s 15-year-old daughter who has come on the trip with him. When James has still not returned by the next morning, Michelle, Jen, and Patrick go out to search for him, leaving Eddie and Emily alone. As Eddie and Emily talk, their conversation turns weirdly flirtatious and they kiss. The next day the group awakes eager to continue their search for James, only to discover his dead, mangled body on a nearby cliff. The shock of James’ death leads to terrible decisions and the remaining friendships shatter apart.

Definitely a play I'd like to see produced. This seriously did not go where I thought it would and ended in a pretty disturbing way. I was left with hope though for these 3 women and comfort in knowing that they'll be there for each other. A very well written ensemble of complicated characters that I can't wait to see a group of actors sink their teeth into.

Telling the tale of pretty much the worst camping trip ever, LOOK UP feels like a dramatic ‘90s TV show — in the best way possible. Vaughn has created characters that are recognizable yet unique, and who banter easily just like long-time friends should. Full of dramatic moments and exciting design challenges, I’d love to see this produced.
