Recommendations of Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

  • Ryan M. Bultrowicz: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

A fast-paced comedy teeming with word play and pop culture references that will assuredly tickle any film lover in the audience (and anyone who’s not a fan of Disney and their IP-purchasing onslaught). Bravo to Busser for this show!

  • Nora Louise Syran: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

Oh my G-word! This play will have lovers and haters of Disney and Tarantino laughing their B-word off. I especially loved the "method actor" cameo who somehow manages to slip past the censors as do the language and allusions of Disney's very own paycheck writer! Clever. Bravo Mr. Busser (Nov 4, 2024)

  • Paul Donnelly: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

A funny, but slightly chilling, premise brilliantly executed. As Samuel L. Jackson has to alter his vocabulary to match the standards of his new Disney employer, his palpable frustration and riotous substitutes for his characteristic profanity are most amusing. The chill comes from the realization that the totality of Disney control of the film industry is barely farcical.

  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

Holy Shirtballs! This is one of the funniest censored plays I have read in a while! And of course, it's written by Busser, the fuzzy cootie! I bet it will be a challenge for the actors to get through this fast paced script without accidentally dropping an F bomb here or a "see you next tuesday" there!

  • Christopher Plumridge: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

Oh I would pay good money (if I had it) to see Samuel L Jackson himself to star in this brilliant play as himself! Bussers plays are always tight knit, clever, witty and usually bloody hilarious, as this play is! But there's also a serious undertone here of censorship, and the threat of the all empowering film monster that is Disney, hell bent on capturing the whole of the film world. Very clever, very funny!

  • Sam Heyman: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

This tight, joke-packed play is filled with gags, wordplay and more censored Samuel L. Jackson epithets than you can shake a TV Guide at. Very much a farce, John Busser manages to make QUENTIN TARANTINO'S PG-13 CRIME MOVIE into something as biting as it is clever, and despite the censor's best efforts, delightful vulgarity still shines through. This is one that's sure to get any audience roaring with laughter.

  • Charles Scott Jones: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

Ha-Ha-Ha! All time great, hilarious euphemism play. John Busser in his QUENTIN TARANTINO'S PG-13 CRIME MOVIE keeps coming at ya with the wordplay. This would be a blast for actors playing Quentin, Samuel, and Daniel Day-Lewis and the steady barrage of poking the Mouse is a sure bet to moose-fudge the audience, maybe even win over some of the non-cussing Mouse zealots. "But it plays into the whole plumbing thing!" A favorite line of many. Busser has great talent for sustaining a joke and taking it to a new, even more preposterous level than you thought possible.

  • Emily McClain: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

This is a fantastic comedy for fans of Tarantino, Sam Jackson, and satire about the increasing control the "House of Mouse" has over popular media. Worth it just for the brilliant variety of not-swear-word swearing variations! A really fun read! Great work!

  • Ken Preuss: Quentin Tarantino's PG-13 Crime Movie

Busser’s hip and hilarious comedy riffs on Disney and Tarantino with equal aplomb, tossing nods to the art-house antics of Daniel Day Lewis, too. Pop references and witty wordplay fly fast and funny, and the role of Samuel is a star-maker for actors talented (and brave) enough to tackle the ridiculously funny collection of almost-curse-words. It’s a “Monkey-Fighter” Masterpiece that’ll please actors and audiences alike.
