We produced an audio play version of this script in our Season 4 line-up on the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast (https://www.gatherbytheghostlight.com/s4e7). McClain has found a perfect balance within this dark comedy. The situation is hilarious and the Tooth Fairy character enhances the dark humor through her dialogue and actions. These poor parents had no idea their absent-mindedness towards their daughter's lost tooth was gonna piss off such a feisty fairy! A great little comedic tale for any theatres out there wanting audiences with hurt sides from laughing so hard!

Oh my goodness, TOOTH OR DARE is such a silly and entertaining play. I love how effortlessly Emily McClain takes the play from light and fun to dark and sinister. I was able to listen to this on the "Gather by the Ghostlight" podcast.

Having just listened to a great production of this play by the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast I can safely say I am now even more freaked out by tooth faries than I was as a child!
Lots of dark, wonderful fun here....and as the brief synopsis states, don't piss off the tooth fairy! Brilliant!

As a child, I was terrified of Santa Claus. I was afraid of most strangers, really, but Santa? A magical being who snuck into my house and was always watching? When you think about it, the only thing truly more terrifying is the online review economy.

My fears are founded, goddamn it. And "Tooth or Dare" is hilarious.

A darkly funny bit of fantasy about the strict expectations set for - and from! - the Tooth Fairy. An entertaining play that brought me a toothy smile on the GATHER BY THE GHOST LIGHT podcast!

Don’t mess with the Tooth Fairy! This is a funny and creepy look at a childhood magical being who readily admits that parents do the actual work but still expects great online reviews. I give TOOTH OR DARE five stars of my own free will.

"Tooth or Dare" is a fantastic, funny dark comedy about our obsession with ratings, reviews, and personal brands. In this story, the Tooth Fairy is the ultimate influencer, benefitting from the admiration of her followers even while outsourcing any real work. The characters are distinctive and well-drawn - there are three excellent parts to play with here.

DELIGHTFUL! I would LOVE to see this staged. So much energy - So much emotion - SO MUCH RAGE! A MUST READ AND PRODUCE.

There is so much to love about TOOTH OR DARE - the tooth fairy jokes keep coming in hilarious and surprising ways. The casting for this imaginary being or "sparkling psycho" would bring so much to an already amazing script (fragile ego, amazing periodontal powers.) Don't want to say too much, but this would bring welcome comic relief to any festival. Fun fun fun.
