Oh the comedy AND the tension builds cleverly here! Also, Kerri is a very "clever girl!" This play will leave audiences shouting the title out loud at the end! "WHAT'S IN THE BOX?!"

I'm constantly envious of Randy's mastery of the craft. From the premise to the dialogue to the characters, this is an example of just how much Randy can do in ten minutes. Amazing work as always.

Gwyneth Paltrow's head, indeed. Following a seemingly inexplicable breakup, Ben turns to his best friend Todd for comfort. There is much humor and suspense in their efforts to determine the contents of a mystery box which the recently ex-girlfriend instructs Ben not to open until 6 p.m. The contents turn out to explain the breakup, but then a second box appears and the mystery deepens. Or does it?

A tight piece that does a good job layering suspense and humor, topped with a solid ambiguous finale.

Randy Hunt's "What's in the Box?" has all of the elements (humor, suspense, friendship) needed to make this a truly enjoyable read. I loved the relationship between the friends and the surprise at the end. Such fun!

"How can you have an argument and not know the reason for it?" A sentiment a lot of couples will be familiar with as they witness this funny and yet curious conversation between two friends about what could possibly be in the box from his ex-girlfriend. Randy has expertly escalated the tension so that you yourself become desperate to know what is in the box. This coupled with the expertly crafted twists and turns make this a great little play of curiosity!

How could I NOT want to know the answer asked by Randy Hunt in this terrific little dark comedy? A bad break up prompts the creation of the aforementioned box, and I was on the edge of my seat as I read and tried predicting just what WAS in the box. The answer is both just that, an answer AND the setup for... well, the fun is not in me telling you. Read this to find out. Better yet, produce this, so an audience can try to guess.

I am a BIG fan of Seven... and a BIG fan of this short play by RANDY HUNT. The natural and witty dialogue back and forth between these two friends is priceless. I was intrigued every step of the way.
