  • Christopher Plumridge: What's in the Box?!

This is such a darkly funny two hander between two good friends, one in the midst of an awkward breakup, albeit of his own making. I can just imagine this being staged, a kind of stand off between man and box, akin to Joey and Chandler in Friends. I love the ending, which I give no spoilers, read it for yourself, better still see it staged! Great!

  • DC Cathro: What's in the Box?!

The title alone is enough of a hook, and as the characters hypothesize about the contents of the titular box, so will you. This rollercoaster romp of a play has some snappy, funny dialogue, a bit of mystery, and a sweet little twist ending that will have you guessing again and again. Great fun!

  • Lee R. Lawing: What's in the Box?!

Breezy break-up comedy which engages you from the very start and holds your attention to the very last seconds. Hunt provides such believable characters and the humor is spot on and the last bit will make you jump just a little because you never know what exes are capable of.

  • Joe Swenson: What's in the Box?!

What an incredibly fun ride. Starts off in an aloof and seeming inconsequential conversation regarding the break-up of one of the main characters turns into a master class in building tension through ambiguity. My favorite part is how the show ends and what's really great about this short piece is that it could easily be expanded, and the ending would still be just as incredible. An ending that will stay with you for days.

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: What's in the Box?!

Ben and Kerri had a fight, Todd's here to help. That's when things get strange. What's in the Box is a prime example of why Randy is such a master at pacing and dialogue. This short play is funny and ominous, with fantastic opportunities for actors and for creative staging. It's a show that will leave you in stitches while making you really wonder what's in the box.
