I was stunned by this tragic, yet touching monologue from Steve Martin. Gabriel feels so conflicted as we watch him try to both honor and blame his older sibling for the sin of contracting a life-threatening disease. And finding out his parents true intent for his own conception is both sad and relatable. Who wouldn't have mixed feelings over these circumstances? My highest recommendation for this outstanding piece of writing. I'll be processing this one for quite a while.

"The Savior" is a touching piece that effectively captures the complexities of grief and the transformative power of love. Martin effectively conveys Gabriel Salvatore III's raw and authentic voice allowing the audience to be drawn into a compelling narrative journey that navigates the complexities of loss and ultimately offers a message of hope and acceptance. Well written and excellent!

This. Is. Incredible. Such a beautiful, awe-inspiring story about Gabriel Salvatore the III's life. Steven G. Martin hits all the notes, hits all the feels, hits every possible way to feel about the situation that Gabriel is born into and then leaves you thinking about this for hours, if not days. Steven makes Gabriel so real and so lonely and forces you as an audience to empathize and agonize over what has happened. Even now about an hour after reading this, I'm still thinking about this show. This might be the best show I've read in 2024!
