Just finished reading two of Lee Richard Lawing’s Monologues. Both are zany, far-out creative and so much fun to read. I would love to see the production of both monologues. Unfrozen is a hilarious bit on an act titled, Puppet and his Dummy. The team is inseparable, but something happens, and the show can’t go on. After all, “who wants to see a show just called Dummy?” The other, Fairy Noodle at the Ferry Noodle House was equally hilarious. The actor playing the noodle and will have so much fun. Mr. Lawing’s wild imagination is delightful.

Such heart and humor in every moment of this monologue for one... Noodle! Yes, a noodle. I love this creative romp, and what we value and how the world finds value in us. Endearing, charming and brave, this piece would be delightful onstage. I'm so enjoying working my way through writer Lawing's collection of imaginative work. His ideas and craft are tremendous!

This noodle --yes, the character is a noodle -- will appeal to the superhero in all of us, that voice that speaks of a greater desire to save people and the world, to combat evil and destruction, to fight against injustice. Plenty of laughs for an audience. A costume designer would have a fun time designing a noodle costume. A perfect addition to a solo festival. I think a young performer would enjoy bringing this hero to the stage.

A giggle-and-cuddle kind of play; presents every reason audiences should be allowed to put their feet up and bring a blanket. A play about worth and will. A classic tale of the hero-in-us-all and what we choose to define us, if anything, most of all our own take. A speech about what we do with our time, the beauty in what we see and that perhaps others don't, and the wonderful potential in everything; about what we want and then taking what comes with it. A fantastic addition to any evening of short works and/or one-person plays.
