Samuel has been involved in the performing arts since a technical internship at the Park City Performing Arts Foundation in high school. He believes in the role of the arts to create strong communities, especially in the mountains. From the University of Utah Samuel received a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology specializing in lighting and sound design, highlights of his studies there included: drafting for the theatre, scene painting, and new play development. Additional training includes a summer with the Pacific Conservatory Theatre in California, and a certificate in performing arts management from the University of New Orleans. He is currently
​the Director of Production at the Argyros Performing Arts Center and Technical Director at The Spot both of which are in Ketchum, Idaho.
