Homesick is a full-length dramedy about recent empty nesters, Rick and Karen, and their three grown children, all of whom are experiencing life crises. When it comes to light that Karen is leaving Rick after 35 years of what appeared to be a happy marriage, past secrets and present wounds come to light as issues of commitment, infidelity, parenting skills, family bonds, and parent/child boundaries collide to cast a shadow on the family's new, uncertain future. This play, a subtle nod to Ibsen, breaks the fourth wall to utilize the audience as Karen's marriage therapist.
