There are invisible strings that connect us all. Some are with us from the time we are born, others we attach to ourselves as we go. My job as a playwright is to see what happens when a string that has been slack for a long time is suddenly yanked; to follow those strings to see what happens when a complicated path gets someone entangled in their own or others' strings; and to cut away strings to see what was holding someone's life in place.
