As a playwright, composer, and lyricist, I try to convey a world that I hear, not visualize. I let characters speak, and I listen. I identify moments that sing. I search for the tone of this world. And then I capture all of these elements with words on a page or notes on a stave. I aspire to craft a piece of art - a piece of art that is universal, affecting, and can stand the test of time.
