Diane Davis is a playwright and founder of Eden Theater Company. She is a current Writer in Residence at Theatre East, a member of Actor’s Studio Playwright/Director’s Unit, and was an HB Studio Residency Fellow. Diane Davis is a playwright and founder of Eden Theater Company. She is a current Writer in Residence at Theatre East, a member of Actor’s Studio Playwright/Director’s Unit, and was an HB Studio Residency Fellow. Her plays have been developed or produced at The New Ohio Theatre, The Flea, New York Theater Workshop, Primary Stages, the Barrow Group, AMIOS, Goddard College and HB Studios. Diane studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse with Sandy Meisner, and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, and earned a BA in Theater from Bennington College. She is currently working on an MFA in playwriting at Columbia University. As a member of the Dramatist Guild, the League of Professional Theater Women, and the Honor Roll advocacy group, she believes that gender parity for women writers and theater-makers held back by a variety of factors is a necessary and essential advocacy.

    FULL LENGTH: Daughter 3 is jazz in her mother’s classical music family. After an assault by a music teacher, she goes down the rabbit hole and when she comes out the other side, her mother calls all the daughters home for a redo of a family portrait.     FULL LENGTH: In 2006 Tig Kennedy was set up to be sexually abused by Hollywood mogul Harry Wickstone, by honeypot Lilia Gordon. Twelve years later Wickstone is arrested, Tig, her sister Sima, and Lilia negotiate surviving the system of complicity that supported this Hollywood predator, and journey to find their place in post-Wickstone Hollywood. While Tig Kennedy seeks justice by upending the status quo, Sima, her sister/manager, works to promote her own successes, while supporting TIG's recovery and career. After negotiating a deal with Lilia Gordon, now the President of STARMAX Studios, the three follow a journey of finding their true selves, navigating the in-between as they try to claim power in the competitive and compromising world of producing movies. The further each woman goes in disrupting the status quo of systemic abuse, the more they must confront their own complicity as they hold each other accountable.
