The Wapshot Whatever: The Secret Lives of Computer Programs uses computer "lingo" to enact the landscape of sentient programs. ETHER explodes the metaphysical line between science and superstition, magic and spiritualism. Based on letters between Houdini and Doyle, it investigates what the pair learned investigating psychic reality. Stuck in the afterlife with their metaphysical argument, their wives push them to finally resolve so all can move to the next place. Human experience--Wapshot's cyberworld we inhabit for long hours, Ether's merging of real life evidence of psychic investigators are environments that fascinate me. I am interested in how language and undertandingcan merge in revelation.
