  • The Breakout Room and Other Tales (Co-Authored with Sarah Haman)

In "The Breakout Room and Other Tales", the Hamans capture our specific moment of human history in a way that is simultaneously hilarious and moving. It is perfect for classes working over Zoom; the play's brilliant use of the virtual medium works with, rather than against, the storytelling, and the stories resonate deeply with students and teachers! My students immediately connected with the characters in The Breakout Room, because of its clear use of archetypes (as one student put it "I know all these people!") along with it's refusal to accept stereotype as the "whole truth."
  • You Haven't Changed A Bit
    9 Oct. 2020
A lovely, well-constructed and heartfelt play with a satisfying conclusion. It's a moving mediation on memories, connection, and the ephemeral nature of time. The play's message is simultaneously gentle and visceral. After reading the script with high schoolers, one of them said "Wow, time goes by quickly doesn't it?!"
