Heidi Breeden is the Artistic Director of Arts for All. Arts for All provides high quality arts education to under-served students and teachers in the Charlotte, NC area. Heidi is also a freelance director and dramaturg. She recently served as Assistant Director and unofficial dramaturg for The Danger, a new work by Stacey Rose, which premiered in fall 2018 in Brooklyn, NY. Heidi received her MFA in Directing at Baylor University in 2017. Prior to graduate studies, she taught theatre in North Carolina’s public schools, where she also served on the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Common Core Theatre Arts curriculum writing team. Heidi has served as guest lecturer and vocal coach for numerous high school productions, and her students have enjoyed success in many local theatre festivals and competitions. Both in educational and professional endeavors, Heidi is interested in the ways in which theatre can build community and give voice to the voiceless. One of Heidi’s greatest passions is giving back to the community, and she is proud to have co-produced the 2010 V-Day Festival, raising funds and awareness for Charlotte-area battered women’s shelters. While living in Charlotte, NC, Heidi sat on the board of directors as secretary of Stage One, Inc., and served on staff for the inaugural Queen City Fringe Festival.
