Everyday Monsters paints such a vidivd and horrific encounter between abuser and abused and the pain and torment of what such abuse can do to anyone. The homey setting only intensifies the drama and conflict and what those past decades must have been like for Timothy as he has finally decided to confront the man who has caused him nightmares and agony. You will not forget this play when the blackout occurs, not should you be able to.

Routines are what make the world work and relationships are certainly part of the routine and taking them for granted is something that most of us do at some point. Sailing on gives us one such couple who reflect on their relationship and the past 39 years where love above all sometimes is the best routine of them all.

Chance meetings occur on a daily basis all around us ,and those people, if we let them, can really offer a moment of comfort that we need at that time or to stick to our resolve that may be faltering. Paul gives us one chance meeting which will lull you into a state of complacency until the final scene which will leave you breathless.

Knowing that your partner will stand beside you through thick or thin and for better or worse is just something that is written into the by-laws of any relationship. Baby puts it all on the line with a couple who have gone to get an abortion and the decisions made put an entirely different spin on the situation and relationship. Great two-hander!

To dink or not to dink. That is the question in this modern, and very funny, take on The Taming of The Shrew all woven into the "It" sport of our day, Pickleball. Ruyle takes us on a pleasant journey of discovery of whether or not old dogs can be taught new tricks. The best moments come in the friendships between the four characters, their dialogue so real and their outcome one that we are all care to see play out.

What an amazing short play by Carbajal! It speaks about the darkness that dementia can bring and pain it can cause for all people involved. Well done.
