Theatre Festival (NYC), and been a finalist for numerous prizes, including the Heideman. My work has been produced regionally, in New York, and abroad, with my latest play, Savage Variations, recently staged in Moscow. Other plays include: The Secret Rain, Bullet for Unaccompanied Heart, Ocean View Odyssey, All is Always Now, and White Trash Wonderland. I reside in Charlottesville, Virginia, where I teach creative writing and imbibe the local wines from time to time. Cheers.

Plays

  • All is Always Now
Many play roles in their lives, but few play them as extravagantly, or desperately, as Lowell, Harold, Weldon and Margot, four longtime New York actor friends who get together for a final farewell which turns out to be more final than they imagined.
  • Bullet for Unaccompanied Heart
A blues guitarist, Dugan McBane, gets taken hostage by the ghost of his former lover, Anya Magnifico, a crossword puzzle-obsessed punk rock princess who’s aided by her henchman, Milo. Dugan’s release hinges on one thing: a sincere apology.
  • The Secret Rain
The Secret Rain is the coming-of-age story of Casey Horn, a young boy whose quest for connection is challenged by a sickly Star Wars obsessed younger brother, a girl next door who won't give him the time of day, and a mother with a Holly Golightly psychosis who, much to Casey's detriment, has a habit of falling in love with Mr. Wrong. Waiting around the bend is Audrey Hepburn, who may or may not be...

Waiting around the bend is Audrey Hepburn, who may or may not be alive, but who nevertheless still has the ability to save.
  • Ocean View Odyssey
Riffing on Homer's The Odyssey, the story follows Henry Byers, a young New York lawyer in a state of crisis, who decides to travel back to his home in the South in order to find his father and heal wounds from the past.
  • Miscellanea
A series of monologues and short plays, ranging from comic to dark to experimental.
