I’m interested in race, gender, and history, and how they impact our contemporary lives. I strive to write inclusive, relevant plays that give representation and an entry point for artists and audiences who might otherwise feel alienated by theatre.

My plays have a lot of women in them. I like seeing what happens to ordinary people under extraordinary circumstances. I love research and literary adaptations.

I want my plays to leave you thinking, but also to make you laugh. I prefer to ask more questions than I answer.
